I just recently picked up a copy of this book and enjoyed it quite a bit.
The heroine is a weary cop thinking about leaving the job after her partner is seriously injured in a 'lion trap'. Her new partner Maxwell is a rule-breaker who likes to follow his intuition. They're up against a game-playing murderer who has found a new way to beat the system. Many elements of this story will be familiar from cop movies, J.D. Robb's books, and so on, but it's a fun story anyhow. |
