This is an excellent purchase. Use a 40w bulb sufficient for our purposes.My daughter just adores the lamp. Fits great in a small area. We love it.

This was an excellent purchase. We were looking for our daughter,and located this lamp, and have been throughly satisfied since. Only complaint was the Maximum bulb wattage was not listed, but we placed a compact flourescent in and it accomplishes our goal of being brighter.
