My 2 year old daughter received this doll for her birthday last week and she loves it. She has fun pressing her hand, and alternating the different objects in Dora's other hand. Dora sings, and asks you to exchange the object in her hand.I have a few problems with this toy though. THe taped voice is difficult to understand, and even I have trouble understanding the clues Dora gives you. I also don't like the way the pants covered the battery compartment- they could spare a little more fabric. Also, since Dora is known for carrying her backpack around, why wasn't this doll diven a backpack to hold all the objects. It's just a matter of time before we lose a piece. An additional note to parents of Dora fans- if you get enough of the Dora talking toys, you find that they all say about the same thing. This is good as far as a repetetive learning thing, but it makes me refrain from buying too many Dora electronic toys.

My 2 year old recieved this as a birthday gift from a relative and when she opened the box my first reaction was oh no this thing is going to be stupid. Boy was I surprised when we finally got it out of the box and my daughter started playing with it. The way they have made this toy change its lines so that it's not always the same ol' same ol' is amaizing. I think I'm going to have to buy more batteries soon. The only problem I've seen so far is if your child is a bit impatient Dora gets confused and thinks she is still holding the last object.

Dora makes us SOOO Happy!,

My daughter received this toy for her first birthday. Yes, this is a bit younger than what the manufacturers recommend but she loves it just the same.Dora is one of her favorite cartoon so it was no doubt that she would be thrilled by this toy. It comes with a star, butterfly, bird, and frog that can be attached to the palm of Dora's hand. Dora will ask "Can you find my friend who is yellow?" and the child responds by placing the correct character into her hand. Dora might then give the name of the character/thing in Spanish and she even has a very catchy little tune she will sing that goes a little something like this: "Hola Star/Frog/Bird You Make Me Soooo Happy! We all have something that makes us happy/ My daughter dances, smiles, and claps the minute she starts singing this song. In fact, this was the first song she ever actively danced to. My thirteen month old is still too young to identify and place the friends into Dora's hand but she can push the button on Dora's palm to activate the song herself. With Mommy's help this toy has become a hit in our home.
