Great Fun
Bought this toy for my neice for Christmas. She got so much stuff and this ended up being her favorite toy. The entire family had to sit down on Christmas Eve to a "performance". Wish it was a little louder but she loved it non the less.

Good idea, but poor design
I directed my father to purchase this for my 3-year-old for Christmas last year - she'd been wanting a microphone and this has amazing features - built-in amplifier, MP3 jack, all in one! However, the whole thing is very unstable - the amp is way too light and doesn't anchor anything. I even taped a paperback book to the back of it trying to give it some...

We bought this for our daughter for Christmas as she is a HUGE Dora fan. The wire broke while we were setting it up so the mike never worked. Then the mike stand broke a week later-even without my daughter beating on it-do not waste your money on this crap! I would give it zero stars if I could.

This was a gift from Santa. It had bad feedback to start with, then by 1pm, quit working completely, so I tried to mess wit the wires to get it working again, and the plastic stand broke. The part that holds the microphone broke completely in half.

However, the whole thing is very unstable - the amp is way too light and doesn't anchor anything. I even taped a paperback book to the back of it trying to give it some heft, but the thing still tipped over. Plus, the amplifier is very quiet (I can't believe I'm saying a kids' toy is too quiet), and the mic stand keeps falling apart. Totally not worth it - surprisingly, my daughter still has fun with the microphone, but unhooked it and carries part of the stand around, Freddie Mercury-style.

This toy is $19.95 at Toys 'R Us. However, many of the stores are sold out and this item is not available for online purchase. But come on people....3 TIMES the price? Nothing like sticking it to folks at Christmas! You must be a Republican!
