I got this a year ago for my then 2-year old daughter to use as a carry-on when we were going on an international flight. I looked all over for a cute backpack that would be comfortable for a little girl to carry. Most of the bags I saw were too big or too stiff - but this was was just right for her! It was the perfect size for her crayons, a mini-coloring book (not a full-size one though) a few small toys plus a cup in the side pocket. I could have even fit a diaper and wipes in there but I didn't want it to get too heavy for her. It would have been great if only I hadn't left it in my dad's car when I got to the airport! It has gotten lots of use since then both as a toy for make-believe dress-up and as a very convenient catch all when we're going out. I highly recommend this toy/bag for anyone with a little Dora fan!

My daughter is a big Dora fan and uses this backpack to carry around her favorite toys and books, which is why I gave it 5 stars for educational value. My friend's daughter has it as well, and love hers too. We've had it 6 months now and it's holding up just fine. The map opens up for an added bonus. My daughter likes to wear it and sing the backpack song from the show.

this backpack is excatly what it says it is a backpack. With the backpack it has two side pockets. One of which holds the map, that is attached to a string for safe keeping. And the map opens up with a game inside. And the actual flap for the backpack has a magnet to open and close the backpack. My 2 1/2 daughter has enjoyed this backpack and the map attached. And has fun storing her other dora toys inside it for safe keeping. Over all this is truly a backpack that is very durable and fun.

I got this for my little Dora fan and she loves it:) It's the perfect size for on the go fun ... She packs it with her favorite toys and loves to wear it ... She insists on "checking the map" before we go anywhere ... Good thing Map is securely attached ... I gave it 4 stars for durability because the closure ... a small magnet ... opens easily allowing everything to fall out ... A Simple fix ... I just sewed some velcro obove the magnet and hot glued the other side under the flap ... Now it stays closed and is better than ever :) The plush design is so much cuter than the hard & soft plastic versions I've seen ... A great buy:)

I ordered this Dora Backpack for my 18 month old, who loves Dora. We got it in the house and saw a tag on the product that says that there are materials in the product that are known to the State of California to cause cancer. Awesome. The seller wouldn't give me a refund, so we ended up just throwing this away. Avoid this purchase.

Just bought this backpack for daughter's Birthday and did not give to her. On the tag it states that it contains material known to cause cancer or birth defects. We plan on returning immediately!

This is the perfect backpack for younger Dora the Explorer fans. My two year old LOVES this backpack. It is big enough to hold stuff (toys, board books, etc.) but not so big that it overwhelms her. The plush material is very soft and cozy and the "face" looks just like Dora's backpack. I bought it to be part of a Dora Halloween costume but my daughter refuses to go anywhere without it -- we have to coax it off of her at bedtime. We've only had it for a couple of weeks, but it seems very sturdy and durable, like it will last a long time. This is so cute -- you really have to see it in person! I highly recommend it if your little one wants to be Dora.

This is the Best purple backpack that resembels doras own.
I was able to find it right at the local T.R US. I've been reviewing and searching for the last few days and whenI saw it in person I bought 3. It looks so much better then this picture.. it is soft but not that shiny looking as the photo looks above. IT IS A BACKPACK!!! my small petite 2.5 yr old wore
it walking into her Dr. apt. as proud as can be..and she always wants carried there. Everyone made a comment about it. it held her sippy cup, diapers, wipes, toys, my wallet.. As a huge Dora fan my daughter loved this backpack and wanted to take it every where with all her stuff in it. Unfortunately the elastic at the sides of the bag are not tight and therefore they gape open allowing things like sippy cups, snacks and collected pebbles to fall out. All in all a little disappointing

My daughter saw this backpack on a child at the zoo and went off running towards her shouting DORA DORA DORA!!! I came home and started the search to find it and saw this one several times and was sure it could not be the soft adorable version we saw at the zoo because it looked metallic here. It is not- this picture does not do it justice.

We ordered the last one from this site last week and when it arrived and she saw it she literally lost her breath for a moment- she is 2 1/2 and this is the best, most favorite gift she has received so far in her little life. It was a joy to watch her jumping up and down watching Dora wearing her own.

If your little one is Dora fan you can't go wrong and this is very very usable!!!
