Perhaps I just did not read the description, but I was expecting it to light up and make sounds. Upon opening the box I discovered that it does not. The good side to this being that it doesn't take batteries. It didn't hold my daughter's attention for long, but she comes back to it every few days. The back board comes off easily.

My daughter (5yr old) really enjoys this product. I bought it for her for christmas last year and my husband and I like playing with it as well.
