My little boy loves to carry Diego around, making him speak in English and Spanish. I enjoy it because he says a variety of different phrases in both languages so it doesn't get annoying like some talking toys.
I also appreciate having a male doll toy which I think is important for boys, it makes a pleasant contrast to all the tough, plastic building toys Sam plays with a lot.
Sam did loose his jacket and accesories within days, but besides that, Diego is an excellent toy for soft play and language learning as well.

My 4yo son just recieved "Eggo" (Deigo) as he calls him for his bday from my mother. He loves this doll! He also recieved the singing Dora doll and it makes a great companion. When you press Deigo's belly, he makes animal sounds and asks you what animal makes that sound. So your child is also learning as well as playing. Oh, And lets not forget about the spanish Deigo speaks, as well as English. Your child will love learning new words in spanish!!!

When my daughter played with her Dora doll my son often felt left out (Boots didn't cut it for him) but now with the Diego doll they both create adventures togther and my son seems to really like his doll. Its a great alternative to Dora for the Boys.

My son loves the Dora show, but I have limited the Dora toys simply because he is a boy. I was so excited to have the Diego doll and he loves it as well. It does have some great Spanish phrases and is quite fun for him. He likes to repeat what Diego says and the toy shuts off on it's own when not played with - a great battery saver.

My Boys and Daughter love Dora and Diego and with his New show GO DIEGO GO! that just came out. I Knew I had to buy this doll fast. He is great! He talks in English and Spanish makes animal noises like on the show. Best of all he can double as a nighttime toy since you can turn the talking off. Only problem is all my kids want him. I need to buy more. He will be a HOT item with christmas around the corner. Buy him Quick!

I purchased one of these Diego dolls for each of my boys, and they LOVE him! It is really, really hard to find Dora and Diego things for boys, so when I saw this, I immediately bought him! And the best part, at least for the parent, is that at night, if your little one wants to take Diego to bed with them, he has an off switch! Go, Diego, Go!

I'm writing this to answer the ladies who are looking to purchase the Diego Talking Doll. He is no longer made, Fisher Price discontinued him in '04 (before the show came out), so the only place you can get him now is...yep, you guessed it....ebay. Be prepared to spend upwards of $100, if not more!

Hope this helps & Happy Holidays!
