Dora the Explorer Talking Crayon

My 4 yr old daughter is a big fan of Dora and was very excited to receive this gift from Santa. It is a great concept, however, as soon as a crayon is dropped, it breaks off from the holder and can't be reconnected. After two days it was useless. Oh well.

We were a little disappointed that the item arrived without a working battery. Then, the crayon broke off it's connector part the first or second day we got it. I think these are a great idea and we were excited to get them for our little girl, but they just weren't as "cool" as I'd hoped.

My three year old daughter really enjoyed the crayons. It is helping her learn her colors and enjoy Dora at the same time.

My 3 year old loves these crayons, though they drive Mommy a little crazy! Press the button on the electronic crayon topper and Dora tells you what color crayon you have in English and Spanish. After that, the Dora theme plays over and over. And over and over and over and over if your child enjoys pressing the button! The electronic crayon topper takes 3 little round batteries, and starts to go a little haywire when the batteries go flat (it doesn't recognise the colors and stops mid sentence). Like any other crayons, they can break easily. I had 2 break off near the top, making them useless with the electronic crayon topper. However, it was a clean break so some superglue fixed them right up. Overall though, its a great product that your child should enjoy.
