I am a professional medical provider (physical therapist) and am currently taking courses in medical coding. This dictionary has been invaluable for quick reference. So far, I've found very little that is not in the pocket version. I also have the unabridged version but find it too clumsy to carry around. This dictionary is my favorite reference, usually a "go to first" and very reasonably priced.

Ordered it for our health ministry team; very useful resource for the team, many of whom are not health care professionals. Love the color anatamoy plates.

For the first 2 years of med school I used the book almost everyday. Great study aid to help recall those common words you just can't remember and the strange ones you've just heard

It is a very good professional medical book. I am a medical assistant student and I bought for reference at my extern site. I just wish it was smaller.

I'm very pleased with this purchase. The book has been an excellent reference for my study of medical transcription. It has not yet failed to have any entry I've been looking for.

I also own the hardcopy version of this book. They both are very helpful with studying medicine. The smaller version is a lot easier to carry to classes.

I have the Illustrated and the Pocket one. They both are excellent dictionaries. I would recommend them to anyone involved in healthcare services. I work in a hospital, and the pocket edition has been very useful to us all there. I keep the other one at home, since it is so big and heavy, it is also a good reference when I'm working at home.

The speed of delivery from day of order was very good.

This is a great pocket ref. I have this as pocket ref and stedman's a a desk ref and it works very well.
