Very interesting and seemingly realistic personal accounts of various addictions.

Even though, I have a counseling degree and am in recovery myself... I feel I'm learning something new all the time from this reality show.
Lala
That's a good question that I don't have a glib answer for . . . those considering an intervention?

I love these programs even though they can be tough to watch at times. I am a recovering alcoholic myself and have a son that's an addict. Even though, I have a counseling degree and am in recovery myself... I feel I'm learning something new all the time from this reality show.

Man this show is depressing, but I keep watching it. The way this seasons episodes open is kind of lame, but the featured people are interesting.

I think these real life stories about the consequences of drug and alcohol abuse should be viewed and discussed by parents and their children. They are graphic and intense, but they give a realistic account of what abuse means and how it destroys a person both physically and mentally. These stories also show the effects on the family and friends.

Nothing special, the formula seems to work for the show but I am finding it starting to drag on. Same ol, same ol.

I chose a 3 because while the show is well done and interesting it almost always turns out the same and is producible.

I can't stop watching this show - it is so dramatic but in a real way. It is heartbreaking but often redeeming as well.

This is my go to show now. I love Intervention. It's always nice to see the people get clean and it's sad when they won't go to treatment. Don't take the interventions too seriously. They're actually more harmful to the families due to the way they're run. It's very stressful and puts a ton of pressure on the families. Many of the people end up saying no or running off, which I suppose makes good tv. But whatever, the show helps some people, so I guess it's a good thing.
Entertainment wise, they've got me hooked, or could you say, addicted?
