4.0 out of 5 stars Mixed Feelings.
I have always been a fan of the voice and the talent of Ana Gabriel but this album left me with mixed feelings. When "Vivencias" came along it was the best latin adult contemporary album of its time, then came the mariachi themed "Con Un Mismo Corazon" which kept a good balance between her pop efforts and mexican music. "Soy Como Soy" was again, a great adult contemporary...

3.0 out of 5 stars Is she past her best?
I have been a fan for many years, especially her mariachi output but I am far from being impressed by "Dos Amores Un Amante"

It's time Ana Gabriel reviews her career!

"Soy Como Soy" was again, a great adult contemporary album that mixed power ballads, a couple of dance tracks with some salsa infused uptempo songs, one wondered if it could get any better. Then came "Eternamente" where she tried out boleros, it was ok but nothing major. Her return to the spotlight was "Huelo A Soledad" the ultimate Ana Gabriel album, very modern, very up with the times, very euro-pop. "Dulce y Salado" followed her string of mariachi albums and it was quite good, a great addition to anyones collection. I believe that the album many were annoyed with was "Tradicional" because, once again, it was mariachi album and a quite pointless one, nothing spectacular and frankly a wast of time. I only hoped that she would release something good for the fans that craved the "pop" Ana Gabriel, we wanted something other than mariachi because honestly, thats not really her genre (she sings it beautifully, like no other, but every now and then I want a power ballad like the ones she had us used to in the 90's).

A bit of an answer to our prayers was "Dos Amores Un Amante" but it still left a little to be desired. The opening track "Olvidate de Ellos" is a great up-beat, dance song that just makes us wonder what is in store for us in the following tracks but at the end of the song we come to a bit of a disappointment when, once again, we hear: mariachi. "Sin tu amor" the perfect power ballad for Ana Gabriel and an instant classic makes you remember that old love that you still long for and you cant help but to get a little teary eyed. Other highlights are "Que Sera De Ti" and "Aprendiste a Volar". Her version of "Debo Hacerlo" is pretty good too. I hope that her next musical adventure is something more along the lines of "Vivencias" or "Huelo A Soledad"; it is fair that she gives mariachi music a rest and goes back to what she does best.

TO START THE VOICE IS FORCED MORE THAN EVER.

IN THE SONG DESAHOGO, HAS ANYBODY HEARD TAMARA SING THAT SONG? THERE IS NO COMPARISON.

I USED TO LIKE HER, BUT IF SIMON FROM AMERICAN IDOL HEARS HER NOW SHE WILL BE BOOTED ON FIRST ROUND.

IF YOU HEARD HER BEFORE DO'NT BUY THIS ONE.IT IS ALL THE SAME. THE RASPY VOICE IS GETTING TO MANY PEOPLE ALREADY.
