3.0 out of 5 stars Good beginning information
I give this book three stars not because it's not that great, but because it's almost two decades old. It has some pretty good advice and guidelines, but there are other books out there that have better information and advice due to more recent research. Also, the author talks a lot about how hard it is to get doctors to help patients, and how nobody takes this...

I give this book three stars not because it's not that great, but because it's almost two decades old. It has some pretty good advice and guidelines, but there are other books out there that have better information and advice due to more recent research. Also, the author talks a lot about how hard it is to get doctors to help patients, and how nobody takes this condition seriously. In my experience it has not been difficult at all. I told my doctor the symptoms, and he immediately suggested hypoglycemia and administered the test right away. I would imagine this is due to that fact that this condition has been studied and researched, and the medical community agrees that it is a legitimate problem.
So, I would say this is a good book to start out with, but definately make sure you read more recent books. Also, don't think you will not get good treatment from the medical community based on the experiences in this book. It is much easier to get treatment and support these days.
