5.0 out of 5 stars found a great way to re-use these
Our almost 6 year old boy will go through these really quickly (and he has 2 younger brothers who will like them sometime) so I cut the pages out of this book and slipped them inside Mead's sheet protectors for 3-ring binders. He completes the puzzles with overhead markers and then when he is done (or makes a mistake) we wipe it off with a wet cloth and it is like new...

3.0 out of 5 stars Awesome quality, Controversial content
Book itself: GREAT quality book (Usborne definitely living up to its name). Not your typical cheap dot-to-dot book. Very sturdy cardstock cover and thicker pages within the book. The book is laid out in 2 page spreads with a number line from 1-50 or 51-100 bordering the bottom (the first 2 pages have 1-50, then the next 2 pages have 51-100, then it repeats). Each "set" of...

He completes the puzzles with overhead markers and then when he is done (or makes a mistake) we wipe it off with a wet cloth and it is like new again! He likes mazes, too, so I plan to do the same with the Usborne maze books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dot to Dot Dinosaurs, June 19, 2000
By A Customer
My 3-1/2 year old daughter loves this book! The colorful dot pictures motivated her to use her pencils and markers to connect the dots all by herself. The dot-to-dot activities also helps her with her numbers. And, of course, she loves to find out what dinosaur is revealed once she finishes. I've been known to complete one or two of the pictures myself!

There are so many dot-to-dots in this book! My almost 6 yr old son absolutely loves it. He doesn't even realize that when he makes a dinosaur, he is practicing counting! Each page has a little info on the dinosaurs too. this book was better than i thought it would be and the price was great.

I love that the numbers go higher than most connect-the-dots books. The paper in the workbook is very thick and each page gives a short sentence describing the different dinosaurs on the page. Plus, there's a pronunciation guide at the back of the book that is very helpful!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful books!, September 21, 2010

We have now done all the dot to dots: Machines, Space, Nature, Seashore, Dinosaurs etc. My son is 4 y.o and what makes these books so special is the fact it is not just a dot to dot, it's education that goes beyond numbers, you actually learn about a tundra, an ox eye daisy, a shaggy coated musk ox etc, and if your child likes to color, you can color what you discovered. We need more... Usbourn, please create more of these, PLEASE!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Use As Educational Introduction, January 22, 2012

Having tried the easiest "dots," I found this version to on the same order of those I had tried before, therefore not a satisfying challenge, I passed it on to a 6-year relative. I found another of Kalvitis' edition, "Wonders of the World" to be the same, and made the same disposal. If you fel you have graduated to the more difficult, try Kalvitis' "The Greatest Dot to Dot," (Book 7) and "The Newspaper Edition" (Book 8)

Originally I purchased this for my 4 year old grandson, but realized the numbers went higher than he has learned. So my 7 year old grandson loved being able to take over for the little brother. He loved the 2 page spreads of the scenes and the opportunity to color them in. It has been a nice quiet entertainment for him.
