An unexpected favorite!,

I had no prior knowledge of Faye Wong other than her stellar performance in Wong Kar-Wai's great film Chungking Express when I bought this album. At first I was rather disappointed in the soft pop nature of her material, all that I had heard was her cover of the Cranberries "Everything" which was a bit more rock oriented, but after a few listenings I have turned into a huge Faye Wong fan! She is simply wonderful! You don't have to live in Hong Kong to be totally enchanted by this great singer. Buy this album and you will not be disappointed!

I think this is the best Faye's CD that I have, and I think all the old songs from Faye (when she still in Cinepoly), that mean I do not very like her new songs for EMI. My fav. songs on this CD are "The Sky & The Ground", "Summer Of Love", "Miss You Night & Day", "Still Waiting", and "Everthing", and I am so happy that Amazon have Faye's CD's for sale.

I am now a teacher in the East and have really gotten to enjoy the music here. I came across this album in a record store and the mix of the melody and voice got me. With a great diversity of style and a flare for power, Wong Faye is one of those CDs that you can just play over-and-over again. If you like music that is lyrically blessed and a singer who won`t disappoint get Wong Faye today.

The Magic of Faye Wong,

Magic Magic Magic. There is no other way to describe this talented artist. From her early days of uncertain conformity to finally breaking free and living by the same words as Frank Sinatra "I don't care what anyone else thinks or says, I'm going to do it my way" This CD is a must for any true pop music lover and definetly for anyone who wants to witness the wonderous diva who single handedly changed the face of Canto-pop.

This is a great cd with many slow songs. I cant believe you actually mentioned kelly chen as a better vocalist than faye. I like kelly, but i think her singing talents is non comparable to faye's. Go GET THIS CD, its awesome.
