This is a really good, fast paced story. The main character gets into so many binds that you want to scream at him not to make that next mistake, which of course he does. Beautiful women lead him into dangerous situations, because he is human enough to let desire make his decisions, instead of his obvious intelligence. Who hasn't been there?
The plot is ingenious but plausible, and the tempo is unrelenting. If the main character can learn from his mistakes, he could easily become the basis for a series. I hope he can, because I would like to read more about him. No, the guy isn't related to me, but he could be based on the mistakes in judgement he makes.

I picked up "Double Blind" by Geoff Loftus because I wanted a fun summer read. It more than hit the mark and would have been just as good any time of year. The book's gripping opening reminded me why I have an aversion to tall buildings and the plot had enough twists and turns to keep up a good pace. For history buffs, there was a fringe benefit--lots of interesting factoids and trivia were sprinkled throughout the book by the protagonist. Loftus has a good ear for dialogue and keeps you turning the page with his action sequences. I look forward to seeing more novels from Mr. Loftus in the near future.

A real 'page-turner'!
I couldn't put it down. From sex to murder and exciting chases, it had it all. I'm looking forward to the next Geoff Loftus novel.
