More than just a movie, Double Crossed is a primer for those who wonder just how serious our government is on the war on drugs.The main players of this true story do not come to light untill 10 years later. Who was Attorney General for Dade County where Barry was first arrested and recruited into DEA? Who was Governor of Arkansas, the destination for the cocaine shipments? How much did they know, and how did they use that knowledge to further their carrers. Other players in this story include Ronald Reagan, Ollie North, and George Bush. Truly a story of strange bedfellows.

Based on a true story,Barry Seal was the man who brought down the druglords in South America. He also paid for it with his life,at the hands of the US Government. You really want to see how the Gov does business? Check it out!

Having seen this movie on HBO several years ago, I have searched to rent or buy it. Hopper is incredible as Barry Seal, fearless and overflowing with confidence as he negotiates his way through precarious situations on every side. Men will envy his guts, much like Al Pacino. I'm ordering it. It's worth the price of four or five rentals-really.

I am friends with the characters(Barry and Camp) kids. This movie is such a great piece of art on just how the Columbian drug lords work and how corrupt the government is. This true story is touching, it is about a man who brought down the South American drug cartel single handedly, and was double crossed by a judge in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Oliver North after he completed his task given to him by our government. It is a 11 out of 10. A NEED TO SEE MOVIE!!

It starred the great actor Dennis Hopper as Berry Seal, a DEA informant. He was hoping to get no time in jail if he helped the government in their pathetic "war on drugs" (liberals and conservatives can agree it's been a complete failure). Hopper's portrayal of Seal gives me the impression that the informant was a brash adventurer who smuggled drugs just as much for the thrill as for the money. When caught, he didn't turn on his partners in crime but did help get evidence about the drug smugglers in South America. He did risk his life and he should have got what the government promised. What he got was doubled-crossed.

Seal was far from an upstanding citizen but his treatment by our government is reprehensible.

I saw this movie on HBO and loved it-- It played on all your emotions- humor, action, sadness. Really enjoyed it and highly recommed it!

Dennis Hopper, is a true living legend. This singular and talented actor that so many good performances has done, it shines with this clever script as a casting agent' s dream come true as drug smuggler. Interesting and well effective.

Got this for my husband and he absolutely loves this movie. I even watched it several times and I like it too.

I remember seeing this movie long ago and it really stuck in my mind. I just ordered the DVD and can't wait to see it (again)!
