This carrier is awesome for getting your reluctant cat in and out for vet trips! It's sturdy, well made, and a great deal on Amazon. It can be taken apart and stored in half (it looks like a laundry basket), which works well for the rest of the time you might not need it! This is a great carrier! The medium size is a tight fit for two 12 lb. cats, but definitely fine for short trips. The small size is tight for one cat, and the intermediate is very roomy for two or even three cats. You can buy these in person at local pet supply stores, but you won't get the same great price. If you need to see it to believe how great they are, check them out at your local stores and order one online....that's what I did and I am very happy with my purchase!

This is the best carrier for cats; it's easy to load and unload from the top (try putting a stubborn cat in or getting her out through the front door...not!). The medium is roomy enough for my 11lb. cat to be able to turn around and stand, there is plenty of ventilation on all sides, the doors are easy to operate with one hand (while you are holding your furry princess) and they latch securely to foil the escape artist cat. I could not find a better price for this carrier anywhere else, it is well worth the retail price from your local pet store, however, the Amazon price was the best online price as well.

This is the only carrier that I can get my cats into. The "top load" door makes all the difference. I would highly recommend the carrier.

This is a great carrier for cats. The roof opens up as a gate and makes it very efficient for putting a cat into. This is the second carrier like this that I bought. I bought the first one about 10 yrs. ago and I still use it. We just needed a second one and I searched for years to find a carrier with a top door. This is the only kind I will buy for my cats. They are such escape artists, this carrier makes it easy to get them in for transport.

I'VE HAD THIS CARRIER FOR ABOUT 10 YEARS. BEST INVESTMENT I COULDV'E MADE. STILL LOOKS LIKE NEW THOUGH I REGULARLY USE IT. EASY TO CLEAN. AS AN ADDED PRECAUTION, I'VE ADDED TWIST TIES FOR ADDED STRENGTH, THERE'S EXISTING HOLES TO DO THIS, YOU CAN ALSO USE NYLON ZIP TIES AS WELL BUT IT WILL BE HARDER TO DISSASSEMBLE THE CARRIER. THE OTHER THING I DID WAS USE METAL SQUEEZE CLIPS ON THE TOP PART OF THE CARRIERS IN CASE MY PET LEARNS TO SLIDE THE SLIDES OPEN. AGAIN IT'S JUST AN ADDED PRECAUTION. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CARRIER, I'D BUY THIS PRODUCT OVER AND OVER AGAIN IF I NEEDED TO. GREAT FOR TRAVEL, GREAT FOR THE VET'S OFFICE TOO. CAN YOU TELL I LIKE THE PRODUCT?

This is a great product, we ordered two for our shih tzu's and they love their new travel boxes. It's easier to put them in the car with the top door. We have five dogs so when travling in the car it keeps them safe and comfortable.

This is a great cat carrier! My cat sticks out all four legs like Wylie Coyote (sp?) when it comes time to get her into a carrier, so I've been looking for one with a nice wide top door. This one fits the bill. It's sturdy enough, and there's lots of visibility for the cat, which seems to make her feel better. Would recommend it unconditionally. I think the smaller size would be too small...I'd recommend popping for this medium size, which is still easy to carry with one hand, while allowing the cat to stand and turn around comfortably.

My cat has never left his present home or been in a crate for over 9 years (his life). I set the crate out for him to venture into for a month so he would feel and smell its existence. Then I transported him by car to a far away place(2 hours). He did well with the transport (except for a few rebelous meows). It is now at his new home and he feels comfortable enough to venture inside for a bit. I love the crate and do recommend as my Bear is very particular.

I bought this to hopefully make it easier to bring my cat in for visits to see the vet. It's nearly impossible to get him inside a carrier that opens from the end only. This carrier was a nice big size for my fat kitty and the top opens up really easily. I haven't tried using it yet so I don't know how well it'll hold up. Putting together the carrier was very simple. Although the design of the carrier is nice, the plastic is very thin and the side tabs that you're suppose to line up to lock the carrier in place are pretty flimsy looking. Two of them don't even seem to fit well. It looks like I'll need to use some zip ties or something else to lock those tabs in place too otherwise, the carrier might come loose with an escaping kitty.
