This was my absolute favorite book as child! I can imagine that any young child who likes dinosaurs and adventure would enjoy this book. It tells the story of a parallel universe where everything is exactly the same as in our world, except for in theirs, dinosaurs currently rule the earth and humans have been long since extinct. Somehow, (I can't remember how now - it's been about 15+ years since I last read this,) Walter gets switched with his alter-dinosaur ego from the other universe and has to disguise himself as a dinosaur until he can find his way home. I seem to remember there also being an evil scientist who discovers that Walter is really a human, and therefore tries to capture him and take advantage of his discovery.
