I just received this product today and I found it was only packed with 6 Shuttlecocks. By paying $12.99, I would assume it is for 12 (a dozen). Going back the product description page, it doesn't say 6 or 12.

But by looking at Amazon's another listing: the DHS BO402A Outdoor Playing Goose Feather Shuttlecocks 6-Pack, Double Happiness (DHS), it is priced $3.99. And comparing the product image, it is exact the same as what I got, but paying $12.99.

Be carefull!!!!!

This review is for DHS badminton shuttlecock #BO402, Goose Feather Shuttlecocks (For Competitions) - Dozen Pack


They are very slow, have bad flight characteristics, are not durable at all and have obvious flaws like curved feathers. They are not suitable for even practice, forget about using them for competitions as was advertised.

On the plus side, I used them to play with a ten-year old who had played badminton only three times before and their extreme slowness made these shuttlecocks usable for such play.

All in all, I do not recommend these for purchase at any price, unless they are going to be used with a complete newbie. However, in such a case, plastic / nylon shuttles might be more suitable.

I just started playing badminton again after years and wanted to get some cheap shuttles to practice with. These seemed to fit the bill. The shuttles are good speed but appear to be a mixed bag of good and bad. Some of the shuttles are excellent while others look very nice but have something stuck on some of the feathers. This results in a wobbly flight and can be very distracting when playing a game. Though you can still use them for practice.
I would recommend these for practice sessions and new player who destroy shuttles easily.
