This is an entertaining game for adults as well as children. We have a game day once a month with our Red Hat group and play Mexican Train & usually have 12 to 20 people with two to three tables, 5-7 people to a table.

This game is a different color combination than the others I have seen but is nice as it won't get mixed up with any others.

I've been playing Mexican train for several years. I already have numbered dominoes, but their numbers aren't as "user friendly" as these that I just purchased. The numbers are wider, bolder, easier to read. Some sets have colors so similar, specifically on 6's and 9's, that it's difficult to differentiate at times. The whole package, including the station, LARGE black engine, and storage box make it a joy to play!!

THE GAME IS GREAT AND THIS VERSION IS TERRIFIC. THE NUMBERS INSTEAD OF DOTS WORKS WELL FOR BOTH ELDERLY AND THE VERY YOUNG. MY ONLY ISSUE IS THAT THE 6 AND THE 9 ARE PAINTED THE SAME COLOR AND ARE SO DIFFICULT TO TELL APART. I ENDED UP PUTING WHITE POLK A DOTS ON THE SIXES SO THAT THEY WOULD LOOK DIFFERENT.

This game itself is exactly what I had hoped it to be. The tiles are well made and thick so they stay on end without needing a holder. The colored pips on the domino's are different enough to tell them from one another. The set comes complete with the game centerpiece to position up to 8 'trains', plastic engine play pieces, all are well made and this set even has the option to have the train sound to start the game. The directions were a little confusing but since we already new how to play Mexican Train Domino's (there are always variations to how people play the game anyway) we did not need it to play this particular game, though there were instructions for other games that can be played with this set..and included separate game pieces for those other games. In total, I am extremely satisfied with this set and would highly recommend it.

Excellant family game. Our family, ages 7-80 played this game for the first time and had a blast playing. I purchased this number style as I thought it would be easier for the younger and older set to read compared to the dot style. For once I got it right. Numbers are much easier to read. The case that houses the game is pretty cheesy. Vinyl & cardboard construction, snap closures which don't snap together. Currently I have two large rubber bands holding box together, eventually I will by a Tupperware container of some sort to store game in. The tile pieces are a good size, 2"Lx1"Wx1/4"D. Tile numbers are carved in and painted. Time will tell how good the paint will last, most likely better than just being painted on. The set does not include tile holders which would be more secure than standing tiles on end, yes grandma is a cheater when the oppertunity arises from falling tiles. The tile holders offered on Amazon had bad reviews and I thought a bit expensive (thank you Amazon for providing feed back, both good & bad). I will be checking local game/department stores for a better deal on some holders. The docking station is colorful, makes train noises if desired, and holds eight solid train markers. Overall I am very satisfied with this purchase.

When I received this product I was very pleased when I opened it. For those of you who's eyes aren't what they use to be you'll have no problem seeing the numbers on the tiles they are jumbo numbers and colors on the numbered tiles are great it makes the numbers stand out. The only thing I will mention the numbers 6 and 9 are different colors which is good but they both have lines under the numbers which I think is confusing alittle. I feel only one of the numbers should have been underlined which should have been the 6. Other then this the product is a great buy and I recommend it for mexican train players. It's also a great gift to give.

My husband and I love to play Mexican train with our friends and wanted to find a set that we could also play with our children and the numbers on this set are perfect. My only disappointment was the "box". The description led you to believe the dominoes would easily be configured into the nice,easy to carry box and that is not the case.....its a regular box and we've had to find another way to store our set.

Just wanted to say we couldn't be more pleased with this domino set. My husband is losing his sight and is able to not only see the numbers on the domino's but it is so much easier for us to add them up. As we get older things tend to slow down a bit and things are harder to see. But this makes it really nice not only for the older but younger people to. Oh yes and the numbers on the tiles are also colored for easy reading. The pieces are made very well nicely packaged in a holder for safe keeping. And the delivery was prompt and on time. We live in a Retirement Community and plan on recommending these to our friends.

The tiles were great and I enjoyed the game. The storage box is the problem. The snaps wouldn't close right and I had to resort to using rubbber bands to hold it together.

If you are an experienced player of Mexican train this set is very good quality. However the directions on how to play are not very clear. I'm hoping the game is actually more fun then it seems at present. I need to play with people who know how to play.
