Randy McAllister has one of the most powerful voices I've ever heard. I have seen him perform live twice and he is most impressive. What I really like is that a lot of his original material wakes up your social conscience. I now have all 3 of his cd's and definetly will buy any more he puts out. This is a must have artist for any serious blues fan.

It's almost like stand up comedy with blues music backing it up. Clever lyrics with great blues music to boot. I especially like the live version of "The Last Goodbye". Great musicians backing McAllister up - Jim Suhler, Texas slim to mention a couple. I picked this up for almost nothing & have gotten a lot out of it. Also picked up Dope Slap Soup for under a dollar. Excellent music for great prices.

I have seen Randy perform dozens of times back in Dallas,TX, and he keeps blowing me away with his intense interpretations of his own songs. This CD has it all: His great lyrics range from hilarious to soul-touching, his skills as singer, harmonica player, and performer are outstanding, in the studio and as well as live. I am looking forward to many more recordings of this exceptional blues artist.
