"Double Teamed" is a great movie--and it's a true story, too. =) Based on the real-life stories of Heather and Heidi Burge, this film follows the lives of twin girls with a mother who just wants them to be happy and a father who is willing to do anything to make sure they prepare for their futures, even if it means transferring them to a different school so they can play sports. The girls adjust quickly to their new school. Heidi finds a niche in the drama/acting department, and Heather finds herself a spot on the basketball team (the twins are very tall, so the coach is practically begging them to play, haha). The girls' father literally forces Heidi to quit the school play in which she got one of the lead roles and join the basketball team with Heather. This does not go down well with Heidi, especially since she is not as athletic as her sister and therefore feels overshadowed by Heather. But the girls work at it, and they grow to love playing on the team. There is one setback, though: a rich snob on the team named Nikki who resents Heather and Heidi because they are threatening her position as the "star" of the team. But things do get better throughout the movie....it's just a really good movie and I would definitely recommend it.

What an oustanding film. I just did not care for the pressures from the father towards his daughter, Heidi, but it was one of a kind! I definetly suggest you buy it after renting it first to see if you like it!!

Disney does it again, with this wonderful film about sisters and success. I watched this with my young daughters, and not only did it bring up lots and lots of wholesome subjects for us to discuss. We had a lot of fun talking and watching this film. Wonderful family movie, with numerous valuable messages for your children to learn and talk about with you!

I heart this movie so much....it is a tale that will inspire all to reach for their goals and stop at nothing less...along the way we see them overcome obstacles and yet they stay focused and together...this is a must see for all children with hopes and dreams....I am 19yrs old and i still LOVE it!!!...bring back the side ponytail...

Excellent. This is a true story. Has non stop action in it. Keeps you wondering how it will end.

When I saw a preview of this movie I thought i was really dumb. I turned it on because i got curious and the actress really made them act like sister. They show how important it is for them to work together as a team and how women like us can achieve anything as long as we know what we want and how hard we have to work to get it. Little girls should know that they can become the biggest stars as long as they remember who they are!

Two enjoyable, funny, well-cast teenage girls play the parts of Heather and Heidi Burge. Many emotions are felt when watching this movie: Happiness, sadness, and even a little bit of anticipation! I never say this is one of my favorite Disney Channel Original Movies when asked, but then every time it's on I watch it. My only problems with the movie are these:

Even though it can be entertaining, the "Dad Who Doesn't Have A Clue" plot is becoming over-used. There are only a few parts where it makes the story interesting.

So, basically, I only have one minor problem with the movie. Otherwise, it's great! But I would wait for it to come on the Disney Channel before I would buy it.

Not only a great girl-power movie, but fun for twins. As a twin, I appreciated the competitiveness and other twin issues that the movie brought out.

The twins also deal with other "normal" issues, like pressure from their parents, competetiveness with other team players, crushes on boys. . . This movie retains an innocence that many other movies lack. The whole family can watch this movie.

Disney does it again- A FANTASTIC movie- WITHOUT A DOUBT one of my favorite Disney Channel movies.

Can't say enough about this movie.

I think this movie deserves a A+ because I love every single Disney channel original movie that comes on each month on Disney channel except "The Jennie Project" ...this is based on the true story of Twins Heather & Heidi burge as they make it to the WNBA which is taken place in the 1980's I recommend you get this cause all these Original movies are about kids like us.
