Not Exactly Spill Proof,

I am very happy with the ability of these mugs to keep cold things cold and warm things warm. My main complaint is that they are not as leak proof as I would like to see.On more than one occasion I have had a small burst of hot coffee shot into my face from the vent that is opposite the drinking port. I understand the mechanics of why this happens (when you press the button to drink, the pressure escapes with any coffee lodged near the vent). You can overcome this by venting the pressure before tipping the mug to drink from it, which I have developed a habit of doing. This morning I filled the mug with very hot tea, screwed on the top and let it sit on the counter. A few minutes later I grabbed the mug to leave for work and the top *POPPED* off spraying hot water everywhere. Clearly this happened due to the pressure buildup underneath. I believe an update to the design can prevent this from happening in the future. Based on the current design, I could not recommend this mug.

I have this both in silver and red. I've recently started to use a mobility scooter to get around my home and office area and have searched for a truly spillproof coffee mug. This is the first one that I have found that I would recommend as being spill PROOF. I can simply put the coffe, tea, or other beverage in, put the cap on properly, and toss it in my basket or bag without giving it a thought. I've been using this mug for about a year and have never experienced a problem with the opening mechanism, or the water tight seal. It's really amazing. Not bad looking either! The red one exactly matches the color of my scooter. It keeps my coffee hot from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. All in all, well worth the price.

This mug works great. It is spillproof--really, it does not leak, even when upside down--and easy to drink from. It keeps hot liquids hot for a reasonable amount of time. It holds approximately 14 ounces. This is the perfect mug if you take mass transit to work and need something that you can throw into your bag without worrying about it making a mess. I am very happy with this mug.
