5.0 out of 5 stars Great water tubes, but be careful..., June 26, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 1ft. x 8 ft. Double Water Tube for In-ground Pool Winter Cover (Misc.)
These are well-built, low cost water bags that work quite well for their intended application of holding down a pool's WINTER cover. HOWEVER, due to personal experience, do NOT place these water-filled tubes on your pool deck during the SUMMER. I did so, and within two days they had bonded to the pool deck's paint (a five month old latex). A HUGE contributing factor was that the outside temperature was a horrendous 97F (in the shade) with 95 percent humidity. I had to pull the tubes up off the deck, which also peeled some of the paint with it. (This is NOT a fault of these rubber water tubes, but of the innate qualities of the rubber itself coming into a pressure-contact with the latex paint). So, be VERY careful if you are leaving these pool tubes out on your deck during the summer...
