Chris is a great wedding show promoter. He could be a good sales trainer. But he's not much of a writer, and there are lots of typos, syntax and punctuation errors.

Notwithstanding the unprofessional nature of the publication, we have to ask: "Does he know what he is talking about"? and "Is the advise any good"?

The answer to both questions is "well, it depends. . . "

His formula for success is simple:
1. Cut all your advertising except trade shows
2. Sign up for all the trade shows that have more than 500 brides
3. Get an advance mailing list and send all brides a postcard with an offer (say, a free "Mother of the Bride" pin) if they show up at the booth.
4. Approach every bride who comes into the booth, and ask them flat out for an appointment to meet with them to discuss their wedding plans. No small talk or qualifying questions allowed. Ask for the appointment! NOW! Yes or No? No? Next!!
5. Even a small % of "yes" responses will yield a fist full of appointments; don't worry about the 95% of brides that you have brushed off.
6. From these appointments, you should get some bookings.

The problem is that the world Chris is working in is vintage 1995. Given the sea change in weddings over the last 3 years (especially in photography), his advise just doesn't work for most markets. There are not enough brides at the show, and there is no way you can get enough prospects in your booth to make the numbers work. If you have 100 brides visit your booth, you might get 5 appointments. If you have 50 brides, you might get 2-3. But those are the kind of results we get now, and we are nice to the prospects, do good follow-up, and sell the appointment as expertly as possible. His system would be an unpleasant attack on our North Carolina brides, who would be woefully offended by his tactics in most cases.

Best book I've ever read about wedding business. Responsible for over $250,000 increase in sales in my business. I purchased the new, revised edition (Pink Cover) and it helped me from day one. I could not put it down! I now carry Chris' book with me and whenever I have a question I think, "What would Chris Do?" I visit his web page all the time and I see that there are hundreds of testimonial video's about Chris and his books and boot camps. I can't wait to attend one of his boot camps and let him know how great this book is. If you want to Double Your Business, invest $25 and get the book!

If you're in the wedding business this is the book for you. I bought the book, did what it said and IT WORKS! Big time. Chris' program is simple, easy AND has helped me to grow my business.

I purchased the book last year and just purchased the ebook for my new Kindle. This book is fantastic, and I want to have it everywhere I go. Every time I pick it up I glean something new. This has the recipe for success not only for working bridal shows but for selling brides in your business. He's straight to the point, realistic, and practical. I don't think that his information is any less effective because of the ever-encroaching internet and how long ago the book was written; this is book every bridal professional should have in their arsenal. Great tips for working bridal shows, booking appointments, making marketing material, presenting products and services to brides, and making the sale. Thank you for such a great book!
