Good, but get Intimacy of the Bass first,
By
This review is from: Doublebass Delights (Audio CD)
I fear that most copies of this disc are going into the hands of bass players. That's a pity. Because while this is a great show of bass playing, it's also just ... good music. Apparently the two Reid/Moore discs were a consequence of a series of Sunday night shows that Rufus Reid and Michael Moore did in New York which attracted a continually growing audience. At first, they had contemplated having Moore play piano, but thankfully, the decision was made instead to play as a bass duet. At times it's easy to forget that you're listening to a bass duet, the playing is so good. I have a slight preference for the second collaboration, Intimacy of the Bass.
