DOUBLECROSS sees Q-Burns Abstract Message initially hitting the 4/4 beats a little more, as "Spell" makes clear. But the feeling that anything can happen still takes hold, as with the thick burps on "Get Your Groove On." "Sargasso Sea" floats on some mellow downtempo, and "Doublecross" follows suit. It's a dreamy sweetness, one that makes this EP worth your time.
