Not bad, in the second tier of Chef Tom's Rubs,
By Michael Bellomo "mbellomo" (Los Angeles, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Chef Tom Douglas Rub with Love Seafood Rub 3-pack (Misc.)
As Chef Tom says, 'Don't be afraid of curry!'. There's a light but distinct curry scent to this mix that works beautifully on shrimp, scallops, and white fish (catfish, orange roughy, red snapper).
For those of you who who don't like the 'burn' curries can impart, no worries - the bark is definitely stronger than the bite in this case. It fades to practically non-existence on more distinctly flavorful 'red' fish such as salmon and tuna. It's too weak for pork, let alone beef. (To be fair though, it wasn't really designed for these types of meat). This spice isn't quite as good as the two knockouts in Chef Tom's collection: Chef Tom Douglas Rub With Love Salmon Rub, Chef Tom Douglas Rub With Love Chicken Rub - but it is yummy. I suggest drizzling this into your potato or pasta salad instead of paprika to give things an exotic punch!

I tried this seasoning after buying it at the local market and now they don't carry this one! It is so good, I now buy it through the mail. It has a great combination of seasoning and I use it all of the time on salmon and other cuts of fish. Just rub it on the fish and bake. It is wonderful. I have also used the steak rub and the salmon rub. I actually prefer the seafood rub over the salmon rub when I cook salmon. The steak rub is very good on pork chops and chicken too!
