I have relaxed hair that is naturally thick and when another Black woman told me that this shampoo works well on "our" hair, I was skeptical. I tried it and I'm very happy with the results. The shampoo smells great (similar to the Dove body wash), has a thick consistency, and it left my hair feeling soft and smelling nice. The intense moisturizing conditioner works well, too. If you have relaxed hair and are looking for a convenient alternative to hard to find and expensive shampoos and conditioners, give this one a try.

This shampoo almost acts like a conditioner - it moisturizes unlike any other shampoo I've ever used. I have extremely dry, brittle, coarse, color-treated, curly hair, but this Dove product worked wonders on it. Pairing it with the conditioner makes it even better.

There's no need to use a deep conditioner on your hair if you use the shampoo and conditioner together: this stuff is amazing.

Everyday is a good hair day (even when I don't blow-dry it). However, I recently learnt that there are shampoos that contain cacogenic ingredients and the Dove shampoos like most do contain ingredients that are potentially harmful (i.e. PEG). I will have to stop using it and find something natural at a health food store.
