Okay, I have been stamping, coloring, painting, chalking, you name it, I have been doing it for years. I own Close to My Heart, Stampin Up!, and Mauvy blender pens... and then I own this one. The Dove blender works better than any blender pen I have ever used. Simply put, it blends whatever you are doing and then "sets" it (so it won't smear, no need for a fixative). The tips are replaceable and you refill the barrel so this baby will last a forever. I couldn't even count how many tips I have been through and how many times I've refilled it. It flawlessly blends ink, color pencils, water color pencils, and chalk. It covers the whole image and blends it seamlessly. The other pens seem to kind of dry out and never really blend. Then the tip wears out and bam, that pen is dead. Not so with this one. Try it, you will really enjoy it. Just get the pen first (not this 12 pack!). See if you like it, then order the nibs and fluid. One full pen lasts a long time and as long as you run the pen on paper after each use (to clear the ink), the nib will last a long time too. I actually cut mine into a sharper tip to make it last longer when I didn't have a new one, and it lasted until the replacements came!

I love this pen. I had been wanting for months, finally ordered it and was not disappointed. My favorite part of the pen is the ease in which you can change colors. All you do is finish with the first color, then "color" on a piece of scratch paper until it runs clear, then you just pick up the next color. I can't say enough about it. It was my solution to spending hundreds on cropics and similar markers. The only thing I would suggest would be to buy the extra tips because if you push too hard they get worn out and don't have the point anymore.

Great blending markers for watercolor pencils. They work great & have lasted a long while. The tips do not maintain sharpness, but dulls a bit is the only downside.
