I bought this straight razor after I learned how to shave with a straight razor that I bought on ebay. When it came it was already sharp enough to to shave with. It keeps it edge very well. Each time I shave with it I have to put an edge with the razor strap but I don't have to use the hone on it very often. Probably once every month and a half. The razor also is very stylish. It is a work of craftsmanship. When most things are made in china and made with material that isn't the best quality this German made razor is nothing but the finest quality. The razor even came in a metal tin to store it in when you are traveling with it.I am sold on DOVO razors if I ever have to buy a new one which I am hope that I don't have to do it is will be a Dovo. Craftsmanship and quality come at a cost and this is worth every penny.
