Book Description

DEATH FOR DESSERT—

When Jenna Stafford quits her dead-end job to help her sister Carly open a diner, she may have jumped from the frying pan into the fire. Even though business is really cooking, last time the sisters checked, murder was NOT on the menu. So who’s the dead guy out back? And why are there more cops on the scene than there are paying customers? Can Jenna and Carly sort out their scrambled love lives and still find the missing ingredient in time to solve the crime before their goose is cooked?

Down Home and Deadly is the third book in the Sleuthing Sisters Mystery series. Once again, Jenna and Carly find themselves in the middle of a murder investigation. As these sisters race to solve the mystery, readers will be entertained by their antics and drawn into their quirky small town. This book is highly recommended for anyone who enjoys lighthearted mysteries and hopefully there will be more adventures with Jenna and Carly in the future.

This book was cute and had some fun moments...but there wasn't a lot of "meat" to it. It was light reading and I was able to get through it quickly....and it was a nice way to enjoy an afternoon! I would read more books by these sisters if they decide to write more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cute mystery January 31, 2013
By swp
Format:Kindle Edition
This was a nice murder mystery, a nice clean story with a bit of God thrown in. The heroine and her sidekick were likeable characters. The solution was not obvious for most of the story. A good, relaxing read.

Great mystery for the mystery book readers and a big plus that it is a Christian based novel. Good suspense without being graphic. I look forward to reading the other books in the series.
