This review is from: Down to Earth / High Cumberland Jubilee (Audio CD)
Jimmy Buffett's debut album Down To Earth (1972) featured very strong writing and performances, with songs like "Truckstop Salvation," "Ellis Dee (He Ain't Free)," "The Christian?" and "Captain America." The follow-up album, High Cumberland Jubilee, featured some equally strong recordings, including "Livingston's Gone to Texas," "God Don't Own a Car," "Rockefeller Square," and "High Cumberland Jubilee/Comin' Down Slow."
* This release includes Jimmy Buffett's first two albums, plus two bonus tracks: "Richard Frost" (the B-side to his debut single) and the previously unreleased "High Cumberland Dilemma." * Singer-songwriter Buzz Cason ("Everlasting Love," "Soldier of Love"), who continued to work with Buffett on his breakthrough albums for ABC Records, produced both albums. * These two original albums are available together for the first time, and at a very special price.

A good collection addition,

The production was a little bit lacking, and Jimmy's vocals were a bit unrefined, but the music makes a nice addition for any collection.
