This is a really good record!,

It is hard even with the sound clips to get a true feel for what this records is. This is a more subtle prog rock recording. If you are familiar with The Bill Horvitz Band and String Cheese Incident, this may appeal to you. In contract to the two formentioned bands, this is more of a composer's effort. Forever Einstein is not as brash as many prog rock bands. They lend themselves to not being too "in your face" sounding. I like "in your face" sounding stuff, but not all the time. This is not whimpy either. Excellent players and writers! I think they are still growing as a band. But this is a most definate worthwhile spin for any prog rock enthusiast. Again, they are not as brash, yet still hard. Unique! Check it out!Great spin!

"Gravity" is another solid album from this guitar driven trio. Some of the music on this album seems a bit more subtle than on their previous one. I am not really sure what I mean by that as again I find what these guys do really difficult to describe. The band branches out a bit more here than on "One Thing Leads To Another" bringing in middle eastern and jazz / fusion influence to their already varied approach to instrumental rock. There is still plenty of, what I like to call "surf prog" to be found here as well. All of the players are more than competent on their instruments and play everything creatively and well. The song titles on this one are even crazier than before. Some examples, track 1 "Maybe spending the rest of your life in a madhouse will teach you some manners". Track 2 "My mule wouldn't walk in the mud so I had to put 17 bullets in her". Track 6 "With a car like that you must be knee deep in whores.......and it goes on from there. Funny stuff and the music often times reflect that feeling of whimsy. All in all if you like this band's other releases you will probably like this one.
