Reunited,

As a teenager this was my favorite album, It haunted me for 30 years and I found it again recently on the internet. It is my car music, my answering machine music, my music to gift friends with. Not to mention the joy of introducing it to younger generations. Yes, it's timeless but it's more; it is a culmination of talent and spirituality fit for every musical taste.

Commercial can still be jazz,

This CD has the most concise guitar solo ever put down. Listen to the other man's grass is always greener. If you're a guitar player, and don't get it, go back to Metallica. Wes pulls all the stops out in a short solo.
Going from sizzling single note runs, to octaves, to chordal & right back into the arrangement, like he had written it himself. Amazing. The combo is there, you just have to listen a little harder. The jazz is there too!

This is an example of superb, cool guitar jazz! Wes Montgomery was introduced to me by a family friend many years ago,(back in the late 60s). By this gift she introduced me to a great jazz guitarist!: Wes Montgomery. This is one of the greatest gifts, given to me on vinyl, long playing record. I have this recording, still in playable condition as well as a cd copy purchased from the manufacturer. It is indeed a treasure in my musical collection!
