Hearing this CD reminds me of the first time I heard Lee Ritenour. It's not that Ratner sounds like Rit, but you have to wonder how a kid play with such intensity and maturity? Yes, you can hear the influences of the the great masters, but Ratner's style is clearly his own. The back-up band gets in the pocket on nearly every tune. This disk is a real treat for any aficiondo of guitar. Highly recommended and watch for more from this highly talented individual.
