5.0 out of 5 stars A must have, January 11, 2008

I bought the two "ice-blue" lights for my road bike. They are so bright. I can see my light reflection off of peoples' cars as they go by. I feel psychologically safer with these lights since I ride mostly at night. Definitely head turners too. Installs easily. A must have and the seller was great with their service. ***************************UPDATE*****************************************
I have a little update. I had the ice blue lights for about a year now. They are still awesome, maybe too awesome. I was out riding after dark with them and a State Trooper pulled up to me and basically said that I cannot have blue lights since they are for emergency vechicles only. That goes for red lights as well. I went to my sherrif office the next day to see if this holds true for my bicycle, and for my county in Florida, yes it is true. So, I am now a proud owner of the green lights.
So, my little story may want you think what color lights you might want to choose. Happy Biking!

This is not an inexpensive light, but if you want to be seen at night, this is the light. Don't throw away your blinky or your headlight or reflectors-this doesn't replace them. But you will feel like you are floating on a blue cloud, or green, or red or whatever color you pick when you ride with one. You will be seen from the side, and you will feel more confident riding. These tubes are light and sturdy too. If someone can't see your riding with these at night, then someone shouldn't be driving.

I see the review about the the lady who got pulled over by the police for having a blue one. Check the laws in your state when choosing a color. green is street legal in just about any state i believe. Just the same, i ride with my blue one often in LA county and have never had a problem. I have had police approach me on in it, and ask questions-more out of curiosity than anything. They've never seen it and want to know what powers it etc. I've had several tell me they think it's awesome and where do i get one for my kid? etc. So I think it really depends what state you are in. Go with a street legal color like orange, green or i believe royale purple if you are concerned: Down Low Glow Lighting Kit - Two Tubes-Envy(green)Down Low Glow Lighting Kit - Two Tubes -Royale PurpleDown Low Glow Lighting Kit - Dual Tube - Fossilized Amber(orange)

I also use planet bike headlights and blinkies: Planet Bike Beamer 3 LED Bicycle Light with Quick Cam Bracket MountPlanet Bike Blinky "3" 3-Led Rear Bicycle Light

5.0 out of 5 stars This thing is so BRIGHT!!!!, January 2, 2008
This review is from: Down Low Glow Lighting Kit - Two Tubes -Ice(blue) (Misc.)
I got a single tube blue version of this for xmas-it rocks! It's so much brighter than my red blinky and led headlight. I've been using it every day on my way to work since xmas. you gotta see it to believe it! The whole thing weighs maybe a little more than a pound-something you won't notice if you are just a commuter or recreational rider. I have other down low glow colors and all the tubes are really sturdy-I've never had them break. These are a must have if you ride in traffic at night.

Other lighting products that I use or have used in the past that I like for night riding include Blackburn & Planet bike blinkies:Blackburn Quadrant and Mars 3.0 Combo Bicycle Light SetPlanet Bike Blinky Safety 1-Led Bicycle Light SetStreetwise BHTL Bike Head and Tail LightPlanet Bike Beamer 3 LED Bicycle Light with Quick Cam Bracket Mount
