5.0 out of 5 stars More Than A Single... It's A Story... A Long Story, July 3, 2001
This review is from: Down Low (Nobody Has to Know) (Audio CD)
If you just galnce at this single, you would think it was seven versions of the same song. However, after listening to this single, you realize that this single is in actuality, essentially a drama with various versions of 3 different songs which, taken as a whole, piece together a story.

The first track, is a musical narration, in which we learn how R Kelly becomes acquainted with "Mr Big."

This leads the listener to track 3, the "It's a Long Story" mix. This is essentially the same as the radio version (track 5) of Down Low, except that this particular mix includes a bridge , where we learn how Kelly ended up was assualted by Mr Big's people (in the music video, Kelly is shown in the hospital... this explains how he got there).

Finally, Kelly includes the "I Can't Say It Enough" mix which fills in the gaps between Kelly's employment with Mr. Big and Mr big's assualt on Kelly.

All this done in a musical format. Each of these versions relates to the Down Low story, yet when you listen, you will hear 3 very distinct and different songs. Each one as good as the first!

From sipping Dom Parignon with the girl of your dreams, to being put in the hospital by Mr. Biggs. You just cant keep love that "LOW" This is truly one of R Kellys best work yet. If you think you heard the whole Down Low story wait until you buy this CD, it a masterpiece. Chicago should be proud to have such unique talent as R Kelly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty slo' tight jam, June 5, 2005
This review is from: Down Low (Nobody Has to Know) (Audio CD)
This song had me rollin' since it came out. It deals w/ alot of situations that the man has to face. Y'know R. Kelly will be telling the truth in his songs like a preacher or a minister sends in a message to the Word of God. He sure has Ernie and Ron Isley doin the collab on this 1. Loves those guys to death from the group (who are my idols) The Isley Bros.

Can't say enuff 'bout this. But it sho has sum remixes and sum a bit you might relax and enjoy. So sit back and enjoy R. Kelly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not for children!!, June 19, 1998
This review is from: Down Low (Nobody Has to Know) (Audio CD)
I love R. Kelly. He is my favorite singer of all times. This CD is the sh.. He gives some more insight into the Down Low story. Mr. Biggs' girl is not the innocent girl we know from the video. It's seductive and great. Don't listen to it if you're offended by bad language, you'll get an earful!! If you like R. Kelly, buy this CD!!

This review is from: Down Low (Audio CD)
the album version&the many re-mixes including the Film was tight. together with the Isley Brothers this Song Brought in the Mr.Biggs Era of Ronald Isley. Haters can hate all they want, but nobody else has given back to Black Artists of the past as much as R.Kelly.He Brings Careers back&Re-Invents not only himself but also other Acts. this ia Classic Jam where R.Kelly is chasing after Ronald Isley's Lady on the Low. the R in R&B is R.kelly&way before the Latest Trapped in the Closet" Motion Picture there was the DownLow Saga with Him&Mr.Biggs.so many sides to the Genius that is R.Kelly.

If you would just take the time to listen to the words in R.KElly's songs, you will really feel where he is coming from. He hasn't had an album that has gone bad, yet. All of his albums are great. I'd give anything to meet R. Kelly. That is my life dream to meet him.

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic from Da King, June 2, 2007
this Song is a Classic from the R.Kelly Catelog. the story-telling and all the Opera-esque feel involved here is incredible. together with the Isley Brothers this is a strong Colab. Ronald Isley sounds great on here. R.kelly is the Greatest Artist of the Modern Era easily. He has Dominated Music for almost two decades straight and no end in sight. this song is smooth and the various situations are great.

When you need to sit down an have that special moment with you partner there's nothing like throwing in some Kelly. He's by far the greastest R&B singer of his time. His albums ensures you that it will be a special time with whoever you're listening to them with.
