Editorial Reviews

Review

Harper follows Miles Davis' creed: the notes you leave out are just as important as the ones you leave in. --Australian Musician, December 2004

From the Artist

I like to use melody to create emotion and strong rhythmic vamps like drumming to build excitement.

I'm not a music reviewer, so this is going to come off simplistic, but what the heck.

Harper opened for The Radiators at Fitzgeralds Roadhouse near Chicago a year ago. Both bands were great, but Harper was new and refreshing--and just plain fun.

We bought the CD the next day and have been enjoying it since. Harper's music and lyrics make you smile, tap your feet, and drum the table, steering wheel, or whatever is within reach when it's playing.

We would gladly pay to this band again and we anxiously await the next disc.

Harper is awesome! My husband and I had the privilege of seeing him in concert in Keokuk, IA a few years ago. Oh My Gosh! He blew us away. He is BRILL! You won't regret buying any of his CD's. He's where it's at.

Peter Harper combines sizzling harmonica playing, heartfelt lyrics and the sounds of the digeridoo in his music, making for a unique bluesy rock sound. He puts on a great show, too!
