Ekolu,

Just like the name implies, Ekolu gets 5 stars from me. Well, I guess I am biased since I went to school with some of the band. Anyway, I reccommend their song "Stuck on You" if you appreciate great melody and lyrics. It also is easy to learn to play on the ukulele. Aloha Ka Kou

Ekolu has a pleasing combination of slack key with popular music. It is distinctly Hawaiian. Listening to the CD brings memories of pina coladas, breezy tradewinds, and the sound of waves crashing on the rocks.

I first heard "Ekolu", Down in the valley CD when shane, (my long time friend) gave me one in L.A. The hawaiian sounds are great. The music is as deep and wonderous like the ocean. The #9 song, "You Don't Even Know", is my favorite. Shane, you know why? I recommend this CD to anyone. Shane, you sound wonderful. Love You, Nadine (Sweetie)

I first heard "Ekolu" on the radio on a trip to the island of Maui where these talented "Kanakas" are from. I really enjoy listening to this CD. I don't skip over any of the songs; as we all tend to do with some CD's. My favorite is #9. (You got it going on Shane!) I can't wait to hear their next CD! I strongly recommend this CD to anyone who wants to feel the love of the Hawaiian and their music! "Ekolu" sings with a lot of heart! Malama Pono (take care) from "a Mexican fan on the Mainland!" Adios!
