Sirenia's new album had a lot of hype surrounding it that got me interested; a few test tracks and I was sold. I got the album itself for Christmas, and was very disappointed. Each track follows functionally the same construction as every other, with a few exceptions. The production values are high, but the lyrics are cheesy and, at times, banal. Their new singer has the chops, but their songwriting needs work.
