Lynn Johnston lives in Corbeil, Ontario, Canada. She was the first woman to win the National Cartoonists Society's Reuben Award for Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year in 1985. In the summer of 2008, she was inducted into the "Giants of the North," the Canadian Cartoonists Hall of Fame.

I hope that time will remember Lynn Johnston as the great and important voice that she is. For anyone who thinks For Better or For Worse is 'just' a cartoon series, please read it and find that there is much substance to this. I think younger people reading this today may find it interesting how much things have changed (or perhaps haven't) since Lynn wrote this in the early 80's. A great read! If you haven't read For Better or For Worse, you really should. Or, if you only casually read this, or haven't read it in ages, you must check the books out! Great to be able to read as many as you want at a time, instead of just one snippet a day in the newpaper.

good book, a lot of the material was duplicated in other of her books but still funny and very readible. It is nice to see how Lynn Johnston has progressed in her style and attitudes.

This book was first released in 1987 and I really don't think there's been any downhill in the quality of work Lynn does.
