Refreshing change of pace on both ends of the spectrum,

I first heard of Critical Bill through Tech N9ne's CD 'Everready'. After I heard the couple songs (Rock Like This/The Shouting) featured on the bonus CD I decided I needed to check out this CD. I was not disappointed at all!
Critical Bill shows a great versatility that isn't seen by major artists that are so celebrated today. The lyrics are crisp throughout the entire album and are easily understood and actually have meaning, which is more than I can say about most music these days. The CD runs the gauntlet from hard & heavy songs such as 'This Is Critical', 'Downtown The World' and 'Premium' all the way to softer melodic songs such as 'Here I Am' and '1,000 Times'. Even more, as the CD runs the entire spectrum giving you a sensory experience, it does it with good production and planning. Critical Bill does a good job of mixing the beats and lyrical structure of hip-hop with the riffs and musical structure of rock/metal getting fans from both genres. Their style mixes quite well on the tracks where they colloborate with artists such as Tech N9ne and Kutt Calhoun. You can't help but bob your head or tap your feet as you listen to each track. There's a lot to be said about this group and this CD! If you're looking for something new to listen to that breaks away from the pack and isn't afraid to try to create their own identity then you'd be remiss to not pick up this CD. Hopefully they stick around for a while, I'd love to get my hands on more of this.
