"Dragon Spawn" is an engrossing medieval saga that draws the reader into a mystical world filled with engaging characters. The story of the "Dragonchild", Gennelle, begins shrouded in mystery and continues weaving an intriguing tale that unexpectedly transcends into modern and future ages. Anyone who enjoys reading fantasies or dreams of the days of magic and Camelot will enjoy spending hours immersed in this trilogy.

Gretchen Steen's first novel is written with amazing finesse and her characters entice the reader to delve deeper and deeper into her tale of love, loyalty, betrayal and revenge. "Dragon Spawn" is that fanciful read that keeps you up at night because you can't put it down until you find out where the next twist and turn will lead. I am not generally led to books laced with magic and legendary lore, but this page-turner took me from the eleventh century to the present, and beyond, with enough plot and subplot to keep me entertained from beginning to end. If you enjoy a great story filled with charm and challenge...if you believe in fate or are just fascinated by its possibilities, I would recommend Dragon Spawn as your next epic read. In my opinion, it is sure to please.

This is my first read of this kind and I found it enthralling and so well written, the writer has woven an intoxicating mix of suspense and romance from one millennium to another with such excitement. I found I could not wait for the next happening. This book is well worth reading and will open a world of fantasy beyond compare.Drágön Spawn
