Dr. Lowell Ackerman is a board-certified veterinary specialist, international lecturer, and author. He is a graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College (Canada) and a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology. In addition to his veterinary training, he also holds an MPA from Harvard University, an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and a Certificate in Veterinary Practice Administration from Purdue University. Dr. Ackerman splits his time between industry, teaching, and consulting.

This book may not interest everyone, but it will be invaluable to anyone who is at all concerned with the proper care and well-being of their DOBERMAN PINSCHER, not just any dog in general. This book is very breed specific, and deals with maintenence and common health problems in an informative, yet understandable manner.

This book does have useful medical information, but, it really just covers the basics. If you aren't new to Dobermans and get this, get a Doberman book with more in depth info. along with it.
