This is a very funny and enjoyable movie. It's definitely worth seeing if you're a fan of black movies from the '70s. Bernie Casey and Rosalind Cash are both good as usual, but Marie O'Henry is really the one to see in this one. She's probably best known for her one line from "Uptown Saturday Night". In the robbery scene where everyone is told to strip down to their underwear, she's the lady who said "I don't wear underwear". What we didn't get to see in that movie is shown in "Dr. Black and Mr. Hyde", which is enough to make this movie worthwhile! She also starred in a movie from 1975 called "Deliver Us From Evil" which was apparently never released on video. Overall, this movie is worth having in your collection if you're seriously into blaxploitation.

I bought this movie because I love Bernie Casey, but I have to admit it turned out to be fairly entertaining and amusing. :-)

Bernie Casey gives a terroriffic performance as the Henry Pride/Mr. Hyde character. I saw this film a long time ago on a creature feature episode and was pleasantly surprised to find an excellent take on the famous horror story. I now own this film and highly recommend it. It is definitley one of the better blaxploitation horror films.
