What looks and plays like a shoot-'em-up video game is really a series of challenging logic puzzles. Your goal is to take on the first person role of a captive scientist who must break out of a futuristic submarine and save the world. Using the keyboard and the mouse, you move through the exotic ship . The game play is comparable to many popular video games like Doom and uses the same "Unreal" video game technology. And yes, you do see the world down the barrel of a gun, but it is used for flipping switches, opening doors or "stunning" guards. The game is completely minus any gore but also lacks a strong plot. There's no shortage of content, with 45 puzzle rooms, each more challenging than the one before it. There is an option for Internet play which we were unable to test. We made it through the first 22 levels and found some to be very challenging. One tester, a seasoned game player, rated the graphics as on par with many video games. He gave the sound track a "fair" rating commenting that the jazz/fusion/rock music will be liked by some, while others will opt to switch it off. Games can be easily saved or loaded at any point and a number of players can sign in. The game's weakness revolves around a shortage of hints at key times. Some of the puzzles are really tough, and we would have liked more hand-holding since the objectives of the puzzles are not always clear. Also take note that the recommended installation can use up to 200 MB of disk space. Don't try installing this on an old computer. You can't fault this innovative new game, though, for a lack of challenge. Plus, it is downright fun and really takes some thinking to get to the next level. Considering the price relative to the amount of content, this is well worth the money.
