Former Fan of Dr. Brown Bottle Brush,
By Frugal mom "Cindy L" (San Diego, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dr. Brown's Bottle Brush (Baby Product)
I was a former Dr. Brown fan for my first born. I bought replacements for my second born recently and found myself DISAPPOINTED. The subcontractors they use to mfg. their brush is inferior. I still have the original brush (1.75 yrs. old) from my first born and it's held up, except for the sponge tip which is expected; but the new ones last about after a month worth of use. It was like cleaning with a pipecleaner, after about a month the wire stem snapped and rendered useless. It's a smaller gauge wire than before, so I question the material they use to manufacture all of their other products.
Buyer beware!!!

This brush has a wire stem that is very flimsy. After a few weeks or a month of use, it starts bending and then breaks. The first time it broke, I thought it was a fluke. The second time one broke, I came on here and read all the negative reviews of other people's brushes breaking. I think it's pretty lame the company is not fixing this problem.

Not so hot,

While the brush initially did a good job cleaning the bottles, the metal shaft that attaches the sponge to the handle rusted within a couple of weeks. It is a poor design (a baby product that is designed to use wet should not rust). I would not purchase again!

My wife and I have been using this brush for the last couple years and have no problems with the brush, but we usually throw them away after about 3 months of use. What I did notice is that in 2011 they revised the design so that there is plastic going up the shaft almost all the way up to the bristles so that it no longer bends or snaps where the handle meets the wire. Since they revised it, it works even better than before.

Best design, but breaks easily,

Great brush... while it lasted. I would still recommend it, but just know that you will have to buy a few to last the first year.

I went with this brush along with Dr Brown's bottles. I must say this product is a shame to bear Dr Brown's name. It lasted for a month after which the stem snapped and it has become useless.

Very poor quality - don't waste $$$,
This review is from: Dr. Brown's Bottle Brush (Baby Product)
I bought this brush thinking it would do a better job at cleaning my doctor brown bottles and I was thoroughly disappointed! I've used it for about 3 weeks now and the wire just snapped! Like another reviewer mentioned, it's like cleaning with a pipe cleaner...poor quality. I much prefer to use the Munchkin brand.

The BEST Bottle Brush Out There!,
By Mommy Vomitpants (Lakewood, CA) - See all my reviews

I have been asked MANY TIMES what bottle brush I use. I have been through several and found one that has NEVER disappointed me. It's Dr. Browns Bottle Brush.
This bottle brush has so many good features, where do I begin? Lots of bottle brushes have the sponge at the top, but since the top of the sponge in those bottles is flat, they do not reach the bottom of the bottle because of the metal that the sponge is stuck through. But Dr. Brown's sponge is slightly offset at the top, guaranteeing to get the bottom of the bottle. Another great thing about this bottle brush is that the handle takes some effort to bend. Unlike, many of the other handles I have seen, this one does not flex as much when it is used vigorously. Many other bottle brushes come with a separate nipple brush, but I just stick the sponge at the top of this one into the nipple, give it a twist, and I am good to go as far as cleanliness goes.

A little stiff, and suction cup wasn't useful,

We bought this to hand wash bottles when we can't run them through a washer. We bought a cheaper spare from CVS that has softer bristles and cleans better.

We went for the cheaper brushes (not really much cheaper) and paid dearly for it. We have had to replace three now just because of heavy use. This brush has outlasted all three previous brushes, cleans better and reaches smaller crevices that the others did not reach. It's such a good brush we bought three of these (home, work and travel).
