They stack perfect in the freezer and the food pops out easily.

The only problem with them which is a big problem is the lids do not stay on tight.

We tried out these and the oxo baby cubes OXO Tot Baby Blocks Freezer Storage Containers 2-Ounce, Set 6, Clear in the 4oz size. Our daughter never ate only 2 oz so we knew we needed larger containers. As a general comment, 2 oz is just too small and impractical - you should get the slightly larger size and just feed your child anything left over at the next meal.

So, I did get containers with weird yellow discoloration on them - I kept them bc we needed them and I didn't want to deal with the hassle of returning them. I washed them in the dishwasher and no problems. The storage tray is actually needed with this product because of the weird shape of the pods - you'd need a flat surface to place them on and I would still worry that they would fall and spill bc things can get chaotic in our freezer :)

The pods are a little too flexible for us - we're pureeing right now and having the pods flex in your hand just means the purée may fall out - I can't see any upside at any point bc I honestly never need my containers to be flexible like this. I thought it seemed cool, but it's really more of a design flaw.

Another issue, especially if you are freezing or travel with these, is that the tops will not consistently stay on. Yes, whenever you freeze you need to keep the purée below the top of the container bc it expands in the freezer, but these tops don't secure at all so they push the top right off and the food is exposed. They also pop off when you hold the container in what to me is a normal grip but I guess is tight and they come off if you throw them in a bag so you can feed your little one later. It's sort of insane.

I make all our baby food and bought 3 sets of these. They stack perfect in the freezer and the food pops out easily. the size is perfect for a portion and the different color lids help identify what foods are inside (I use a homemade chart on the freezer). masking tape works too to put the contents and date right on the lid. They easily defrost too. Love these!!

This item is not as transparent as it appears on the pictures so it's hard to see what type of food is in there if you have the same colored but different food which doesn't appear to bother me as much. My husband and I are very thorough in our cleaning, but there's a residual after taste of dish detergent in the container that leaks into your food. It appears the only way to get rid of this taste is to boil the containers after each wash which is a nuisance. My husband I soaked teh containers, run through with soap and warm water, dry and wash a second time with warm water and it appears the soapy taste is there. If it is not soapy detergent it's after taste of old food. I really believe the materials used for these containers absorb anything that was on the surface of these materials. If you still want to buy this product please taste your child's food before giving to them in these containers.

We really like this product. We have about 4 or 5 sets and have put a variety of different foods in them. They are easy to clean even if you don't get to it right away. For example, if you find one in the diaper bag a day or so later, it still comes clean easily. My one complaint would be that sometimes when you drop them, the lid still pops off. Otherwise, they are perfect.

These are great little cups and a good size for second foods. They are very easy to clean. I can see how the tops would pop off because they don't screw on, but if you're not squeezing them, they stay on (I put a rubber band around just to be safe). The pods tend to get discolored after a few uses, but this doesn't bother me. I do homemade baby food that I freeze in ice cube trays and my only complaint is that it is a bit difficult to fit three 1 oz. cubes of food into the 3 oz. container (not to mention trying to stir food in the container without spilling it); I end up defrosting the food first in a bowl and then putting it in the pod, which isn't the most efficient.

I like the 3oz size because I like to give my baby a variety of fruit and vegetable at his lunch and dinner-- so I use 2 instead of just mixing everything up into one. I have found the containers clean easily-- even with pureed carrots inside, and have not left any aftertaste so far. I have used them "to go" in an insulated lunch bag and have not had problems with the lid popping off yet. My other favorite container are Wean Green- come in a variety of sizes, but I continue to use these for the "dessert" fruit/ snack.

Perfect size for a puree snack. Also bought the OXO Tot 12 Piece Baby Block Set (w/ green lids) and I think I prefer that over this mainly because the lids are sealed a lot tighter and more secure (durable) than the Dr. Brown's.
