3.0 out of 5 stars Wish this were better November 13, 2011
I really thought I would love this pillow after reading all the great reviews. Unfortunately, I spent the last week using it and constantly found myself hunching over or leaning forward. The main reason I got this pillow specifically is because I have a long torso and thought it would be better filling the space between my breast and my lap. It is still not quite tall enough, and it slips out of place a lot if I put another pillow under it. Furthermore, even if I get it to the right height, my baby rolls down between my body and the pillow within a few minutes anyway (which also pushes the pillow away). The only way she would be at the right place where I think she's supposed to be is if the pillow were thicker AND if I had a bigger chest. (For reference, I'm 5'7" and my torso is long for my height, and a B cup size -- so, this may fit better for someone who is shorter with a larger chest). I imagine it's still better than the Boppy (which I have not tried), and that may explain why everyone else loves it so much in comparison. I also think it might work better for an older baby who is bigger and can sit more between the pillow and your body and still reach the nipple to eat.

At the hospital I used a My Brest Friend, and as of last night I started borrowing one from my friend and will order one for myself. I didn't think I would like the back strap, and it is a little annoying if you need to get up quickly, but it's what keeps the pillow from slipping out of place all the time. At least I can put another pillow underneath without having them move around too much, which was not working for me with the Gia. It's also flat all the way to my chest, so the baby can't roll in toward me like she does with the Gia (and would also do with a Boppy).

5.0 out of 5 stars Best nursing pillow ever! December 2, 2010
By A. King
I have used almost all of the pillows on the market. The boppy, my breast friend, and a quite expensive organic nursing pillow. The Gia tops them all. The main problem I had with the nursing pillows prior to the Gia was that I had to stuff a pillow under her head in order to not have to hold her up. And then when I switched breasts, I would have to resituate the pillow under the other side all while she was screaming her little head off in anticipation to finish her meal. All you have to do with the Gia is flip it around. So easy. We also used it on the floor for her when she was not sitting up on her own and now she just lounges on it. Can't say enough good things about this pillow.

I have a Boppy & a My Breast Friend. While I love the My Breast Friend, it's kind of bulky & hard to get comfortable with on my back. I ordered the Gia last week based on the other reviews & I am thrilled I did. It's great. It puts the baby up higher so you don't have to bend over. He's lying on an angle, so better for him to digest as well. This is SOOO much better than the Boppy. I love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this product! October 31, 2011

This nursing pillow is amazing! I have a long torso and had to add an additional pillow underneath a Boppy when I was nursing my daughter. That is not necessary with this! I have had 3 nurses in the NICU say how unique and nice it is as well. The only complaint that I have is that you have to flip the pillow around to switch sides, but to me that is not a huge deal. I really wish I would have had this 2 years ago!

5.0 out of 5 stars Much better then the boppy! February 10, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase
This is pretty expensive for a nursing pillow, but its so worth it! I have had the Boppy for my 1st child and it was okay. I always felt it was a bit flat and didn't really offer a full potential of support as it could have. This time around I planned to exclusively nurse (no bottles yet!) I needed to get myself everything I needed to make the process as comfortable as possible.

I'm so glad I found this pillow. It truely is a step above the boppy! It is made of much better quality, is way more plush and throughtfully so. For expample, the plush starts waning towards the pointy part to accomodate the growing child's larger head/frame. The covers you can purchase for it are also really lovely and again much better thicker quality then the boppy.

I highly recommend this item and hope people skip the boppy and go for this... as now I'm stuck with 3 boppy's that were $40 each and utterly useless now....

5.0 out of 5 stars Great January 31, 2013

Went out on a limb purchasing this. My mom is a lactation consultant and kept trying to convince me that I don't need a nursing pillow. I had a boppy with my first baby and didn't like it or use it very long. But, I'm really glad I bought this! It's much more convenient than trying to arrange regular pillows but unlike the usual nursing pillows it's the right height for breastfeeding and fits close to your body. My mom likes it too and now recommends it to her patients.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than my other nursing pillow November 3, 2011
By KLV
I love my Gia nursing pillow. I find it much easier to get my baby into a position that is more comfortable for both of us. She has a bit of a sensitive stomach, so I think the angle of the Gia keeps her from getting gassy during feedings more than the other nursing pillow I had. I love the high quality of the pillow and the fabric cover. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to nurse in comfort!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Nursing Pillow August 26, 2011
This pillow is so comfortable! The shape is great perfect for breast feeding, I have a Boppy that I never use because I couldn't get it so both I and my daughter were comfortable. I love cuddling up on the couch with this pillow when I'm not nursing.
